Minor accidents are reported in the area on a regular basis. Different stakeholders of the SEZ have been requesting authorities to develop another road to the industrial corridor for a long time. The Atchutapuram SEZ has been developed on thousands of acres of land at Atchutapuram and Rambilli Mandal. Speaking to TOI, VMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner said that the Atchutapuram Junction has been witnessing heavy vehicular traffic. Trucks laden with heavy machinery and other industrial goods use this area from all three sides – Anakapalli, Gajuwaka, and Yelamanchili, he said, adding that the SEZ is located on the fourth side.
